Fuckin Federation always on my ass, riding me left and right like they know exactly when and where I am at all times. I swear my father put a fucking tracking beacon in me as a child and knows exactly where I am at all times anywhere in the fucking galaxy. It's infuriating. Even when I try to be an honest trader and just bring commerce to people so I can puff up my accounts a bit more, I get the federation scanning my ship every 2 fucking seconds. I got interdicted three times in a row on a regular trip to the Russel Ring, and each time I was scanned and then told "Go on your way."

I don't miss the risk of being caught, the fines that come with it or the danger of being blown up and losing my other eye. Those things don't bother me. All I miss about the smuggling life is the addictive sudden influx of cash. I'm trying to make an honest man of myself, and since my brother was killed I don't take the offers that are given to me on a nearly daily basis, but I fear I'm slipping.
